Valeriya Kamenova

Valeriya received her Ph.D. from Boston University in August 2021. Her research centers on the intersection between populism, political mobilization, and deliberative democracy in Europe. In her dissertation, "The Quest for Intra-party Democracy in Populist Right Parties: An Ethnography of the Alternative for Germany", Valeriya explores the rise and sustained appeal of the Alternative for Germany as a function of intra-party democratic mechanisms and grassroots activism.
