International Relations
Aminata Sy, a junior studying International Relations with a minor in English, has founded the African Community Learning Program, a free after-school tutoring initiative for young students of African descent in gardes one through eight. Coming to the United States from Senegal in 2001 and living in West Philadelphia for many years herself, Sy recognizes the difficulties of students and parents from African countires learning English as second language and initiated the program to provide tutoring support.
