Few employers will pay you to live and work abroad, but the U.S. Department of State is one of them. We hire Americans over the age of 20 from all walks of life and educational backgrounds. If you are attracted to public service and want to live abroad, come hear more about careers in diplomacy on December 2 with Usha Pitts, a diplomat with 18 years in the Foreign Service. Ms. Pitts has served in Russia, Cuba, Panama, Austria, Italy, and Brazil. She will give you tips on how to prepare for an international career and register for the Foreign Service Officers Test (FSOT). She will also tell you the best way to land a summer, spring, or fall internship with the State Department in Washington or at a U.S. Embassy abroad.
