Breakfast with Dr. Robin Michael Garcia

Dr. Robin Michael Garcia is a Perry World House visiting scholar, and an expert on Philipinnes foreign policy and the international relations of the Asia-Pacific.  He will be meeting with students to discuss Sino-Philipinnes relations, Sino-US relations, and the politics of the region.

Robin Michael Garcia is a political scientist and public affairs adviser. He is the president and chief executive officer of WR Advisory Group, a public affairs firm specializing in data, strategy, and communications. He is also the founder and chairman of its opinion research subsidiary, WR Numero Research. Garcia is an assistant professor in the political economy program at the University of Asia & the Pacific in Manila, Philippines. He serves on a foreign policy research group convened by Speaker Martin Romualdez at the House of Representatives of the Philippines. Garcia’s research interests include international relations and political economy of China, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, and the United States. He has contributed to major news outlets including CNN, Al-Jazeera, Rappler, GMA News, and BusinessWorld, among others. Garcia holds a PhD in international politics from Fudan University. He was recently named an Eisenhower Global Fellow for 2023 by Eisenhower Fellowships.
